Our Staff:

Jon Manlove: Senior Pastor - jmanlove2003 [ at ] yahoo [ dot ] com

Jon began here as lead pastor the summer of 2005. He was on staff here at New Life 20 years ago after graduating from Regent College (MDiv.), and soon thereafter planted two churches under the NLCC banner, one in PoCo and one in Surrey. He pastored the church in Surrey for 13 years before going to Mexico with his family in 2002 to serve as a missionary. Back with us, Jon provides the overall vision and pastoral leadership as well as equipping staff and elders. Every month Jon preaches three Sundays out of four , and also coordinates the worship teams and music ministry. Jon and his wife Barb live in Coquitlam, and have three children, David, Katie and Courtney.


Esther Hizsa: Pastor of Enfolding Ministries - ehizsa [ at ] newlifecom [ dot ] org

Esther is a recent graduate of Regent College (M. Div), she serves here part time (25%). Esther, who comes to us with many years of pastoral experience, has an obvious heart for community building and seeing that newcomers and old-comers feel connected in the Body of Christ. She is ‘Pastor of Enfolding’ and to ‘enfold’ means to embrace. She will seek to equip and encourage the entire church to embrace one another, especially newcomers and those who feel like they are on the fringes. Esther is married to a great guy named Fred, and has a son Rudy, and a daughter Heidi, both in their 20’s.


Dave Wulkan: Pastor to Students

Dave, employed part time, organizes our Youth program as well as the Rock Garden, a worship event for young adults. Dave is also a student at Regent College (MDiv). He and his wife Becky live in Burnaby with their two sons, Eli and Maddock.


Kathy Krahn: Children's Ministry

Kathy Krahn, our Children’s Pastor, started her official ministry September 2006.  Kathy has attended New Life since 1999 while dating her husband Jay. They have two adorable children, Simone (4) and Mika (3). Kathy will be overseeing our children’s ministry, with her main focus being the Sunday School program.


Terri Bowe: Church Administrator - tbowe [ at ] newlifecom [ dot ] org

Terri has been with us since December 1989 as our church secretary/bookkeeper. A few years ago she was given the title Church Administrator and was given some added duties in maintaining our church’s resources and supervising janitorial staff. She is also very actively involved with the Missions & Worship Ministries and has been helping out with the Women’s Ministry.
